2. Did you have a New Year’s Resolution this year? To lose my weight after Peyton was born..hasn't happened yet

♥FEBRUARY♥
1. Who was your Valentine? My hubby
2. When you were little did you buy Valentine’s for the whole class? Yes... I think it was mandatory
3. Do you care if the groundhog sees its shadow or not? no... I don't get that whole thing
4. What did you receive for Valentines Day? False labor for 5 hours, lol. Mike got me some cash to buy some beads to make a mother's bracelet.
What did you give for Valentine’s Day? I got him a watch

2.Do you like corned beef and cabbage? corn beef yes, cabbage not so much, lol
3. What did you do for St. Patty’s Day in 2007? nada
4. Are you happy when winter is pretty much over? no becaue 80 and 90 degrees hits for spring here

2. Did you play an April fool’s joke on anyone this year? no, I was too busy with a new baby and little sleep.
3. Do you get tons of candy for Easter? no the kids got a little though

♥JUNE♥
1. What year did/will you graduate from high school? 1995
2. Did you do anything fun during this Month? The kids and I went swimming and to the movies and all kinds of fun.
3. Have a favorite baseball team? The diamondbacks!

♥JULY♥
1. What did you do on the 4th of July? did arts and crafts with the kids, went to the mall and Emmalee fell in the fountain (she was fine though) and watched fireworks.
2. Did you go to the fireworks? heck yeah... we never miss them!
3. Did you blast the A/C all day? I live in AZ, do you have to even ask?? lol

♥AUGUST♥
1. Did you do anything special at the end of your summer? I created a Pirate themed bday party for Dawson's 6th bday.
2. What was your favorite summer memory of ‘07? Camping
3. Did you have a sunburn? yep, I am a major whitey!
4. Did you go to the pool a lot? yes!

1. Will you be attending college/school? I have now taken a year off and who knows how much longer, lol.
2. Do you like fall better than summer? um yah, weather is under 100 degrees

1. What was your last Halloween costume? I was Cinderella's (Emmalee) Fairy Godmother

This is Emm and Arwyn. They were a bit cranky because they bonked heads during the recital. Dance was so fun and Arwyn and another girl named Brooklyn are daughters of Melissa Hale (Burdick) and Lucia (maiden name is Pember not sure of her married name, lol). Mike grew up with them in St John's and I was roomates with Brooklyn's aunt Anna and Melissa's Cousin Collette in college. So it was great having them in the same class and seeing our kids together!

Here is Emmalee with Cameron Dansie. His mom and I have a weekly playdate swap. One of us takes the others kid and the other one gets a much needed break. Although even when I have Cameron over it is a break because he and Emmalee play really well together that I can get a lot done!

My New Toy!

Well there is one great thing about turnining twenty-ten this month, my birthday present! I got a manual, basic starter sewing machine last year. Once I got to where I was sewing a lot, I hated it. It had the worst tension ever, and was noisy and just sucked! So I wanted new sewing machine bad. I went to Joann's and "test drove" machines. I fell in love with this one. It is so quiet, it's electric and has auto pressure and tension. It sews straight (my old one didn't). I am in love!

Anyways Mike got it for me for my birthday. Well Mike, my mom and stepdad and my inlaws (I pooled my bday moneyand christmas money from all of them for it) I knew about it and anticipated it coming even though I knew I wouldn't get it till my bday ( 12/21). Well I was out getting dinner when it came. I came in and the kids were so excited and begging me to open it (it was cute!). Mike said "Sweety do you really want to wait till your birthday to open it?" I am sure I gave him a "duh!" look, lol.

Then he brought out a smaller package that said GPS on it. I had ordered him a GPS for hunting and scouts and was hoping to suprise him. Well it came in the same UPS order as my machine. He told me if I let him open it then I can have my machine before my bday. So yah, I gave in!

I love it! There are so many decorative stitches, it sews straight and quiet and I love it! I am working on a project now and when it is finished I will post it!

It's Go Time!

I have been feeling a bit down lately and I knwo the culprit is my weight. I can't afford to do Weight Watchers right now and so I needed some sort of support or motivation. I tried with different friends and having a weigh in w/ my husband once aweek but I was still slacking. Then I thought about a good friend of mine, Tiffany Dansie. She is the picture of health and fitness. I realized I had been going to people for support who were in my shoes and that just doesn't work because they all slack like me. So I called her and got a lot of great advice.

I am borrowing a workout DVD that she has been telling me about for ages. It s Lindsay Brin's Post natal workout. It seems cool because it is totally customizable for variety and different fitness levels. I am excited to start it tomorrow.

Her best suggestion is going to be he hardest. You see I am what some would call a night owl. So after I see Dawson off to school at 7 am, Emmalee, Peyton and I lay back down for another 1-1.5 hours. I think it has been a mental block since I haven't wanted to try or get started that early. I know that that would be the best time for me to workout. It may sound like no big deal to some but this is going to be so hard for me. I have a feeling it is gonna take a lot of prayer.

I think this will be good for me and I am glad that I have a friend like Tiffany who has acheived her goal and is in great shape to help me without judging me. She is great!

Anyways I am going to post a weekly update on my weight and how I am doing.

We are alive and well, lol

I was informed by a few friends that I am a blog slacker. So, I decided I would drop a few lines and let everyone now I am alive. I have just been busy working on Christmas sewing projects, jewelry and normal life (aka going crazy lol.). The kids are doing awesome. Peyton is attempting to pull-up and can get up to his knees. I am scared! He said his firstw ord last month..."Mama"!! Mike didn't believe me until one day he was taking care of him and he was very fussy. He saw me and reached out his hands crying "Mama, Mama". I was so happy that Mike conceded. Two of our kids have said Mama first! (Emm and Peyton). He also says "Baba" for bottle and that is it. He is also getting a bit of an attitude. I cannot believe my baby is almost one. I have spoiled him. I still rock him to sleep. I know I need to stop soon, but he doesn't act spoiled (yet) so I keep doing it. He is so much fun! Dawson is breezing thru first grade. he is reading like a 2nd or 3 grader (I am not just saying it because I am his mom either..from his teacher's mouth!) he is starting to do simple multiplying, he can tell time on a hand clock, and he can carry and borrow with subtraction and adding. He is awesome! Emmalee is my drama queen as always. She is so much fun and we hav had a lot of fun Barbie adventures. All she wants to do is play barbies with me now. It is a lot of fun, but man is that girl bossy! Mike is working hard as always. He loves his job nad his callng at church. He is awesome! That is about it. I will post some pics soon!
